Ceramic and Graphene Coatings

Ceramic and Graphene coatings are applied to the painted surfaces of the vehicle and can be applied to the vehicle glass. These coatings act as a protective coating for the clearcoat by acting as a barrier to UV damage, chemical damage, and protect from minor marring. Unlike organic coatings such as a wax or a synthetic coating such as a sealant which have 1-6 months of longevity, ceramic coatings can last for several years if maintained properly. These coatings drastically increase the surface tension of what they are applied on which makes it difficult for contaminates to stick making cleaning much easier. Coatings have become extremely popular over the past several years and with that there have been some extreme claims made about them. Ceramic coatings unfortunately are not impervious to scratches and they do require some maintenance  to ensure their surface properties. The best way to think of a coating is as a sacrificial layer for the clearcoat.

The process for applying the coating includes the exterior detailing process as well as a single step paint correction to remove any marring left from the surface decontamination process. Vehicles with existing paint defects may require additional paint correction if requested by the customer. We offer coatings with warrantied longevities ranging from 2-5 years. Customers are also provided with a maintenance solution and detailed instruction on how to best maintain their coating after installation. All coatings are cured with IR lighting prior to completion to minimize the timeframe for how long the vehicle must avoid getting exposed to water. The coating installation process generally takes between 2-3 days.
