Exterior Detailing
Exterior detailing consists of pretreating the painted surfaces to chemically remove roadway traffic film, bugs, tar, and tree sap. This if followed by an alkaline soap foam spray to remove the pretreatment chemical residue, old wax/sealants, and other non-bonded surface contaminates. Soap is then rinsed off and a second PH-neutral soap foam is applied and all exterior surfaces are mechanically agitated along with brush agitation of emblems and recessed areas. Wheels and wheel well areas are thoroughly cleaned as well as off vehicle cleaning for wheels if requested. After all exterior surfaces are washed the entire vehicle is then rinsed with deionized water and dried with heated forced air. A 4-6 month protective coating is applied to painted surfaces as well as all vehicle glass after the washing process. Longer duration protective coatings are available with ceramic and graphene coating packages. A variety of tire dressings are applied based on customer preference.
The interior portion of the detailing consists of vacuuming all interior surfaces and air blowing surfaces that can’t be vacuumed. Fabric surfaces are treated with a pre-treatment solution which is mechanically agitated and allowed to dwell for several minutes to emulsify embedded contaminates. The pre-treatment solution is then removed with either hot water or steam extraction. The remaining surfaces are chemically cleaned with brush agitation and protective dressings are applied to all interior surfaces. A variety of air-fresheners are available dependent on customer preference. For severely soiled interiors, pet hair removal, and specific types of stain removal an individual cleaning plan will be created. We do not offer services for a limited number of organic substances. This entire process takes between 4-5 hours based on the size of the vehicle. Some of the benefits of detailing are identifying potential issues such as rock chips, small dents, the beginning of clearcoat failure, protecting the painted surfaces from clearcoat damage, and increasing resell value.
